Southeast Reads
The Southeast READS project supports the guiding philosophy of SEMCOL in its efforts to establish a culture of learning in homes and in the community. Southeast READS projects have focused on encouraging reading in families by collecting and distributing hundreds of books to children in the schools and community centers. In the coming year, this effort of getting books to children has greater urgency because of the closing of the Southeast Library and the lack of bookmobile services to the neighborhoods.
Southeast Minneapolis Learning Carnival
The Learning Carnival provides people of all ages with the opportunity to discover, explore, and experiment with learning. Community organizations provide FREE, hands-on learning activities.
